Online Redistricting Mapping Portal

The deadline for citizen map submissions for review by the Maryland Citizens Redistricting Commission has now passed. Comments on the Commission's Final Proposed Draft Maps can still be emailed to redistricting.commission@maryland.gov until November 2. Thank you for time and commitment to the Redistricting process.

2020 Redistricting Data for Maryland

The Maryland Citizens Redistricting Commission prefers that all map submission be created and submitted using the MORe portal (this portal will be open in early September). However, if you plan to create maps using other software, the following data files are being made available. These data are in compliance with Maryland State law. This census data has been adjusted to reassign Maryland residents in state and federal correctional institutions to their last known address and to exclude out-of-state residents in correctional institutions from redistricting.* All files contain the block and voting district data needed for redistricting.

Any redistricting submissions based on any other data may not meet the parameters of an acceptable district and could potentially be rejected by the Maryland Citizens Redistricting Commission.

* Maryland law requires Census data to be adjusted to have incarcerated individuals reallocated to their last known address. The file below includes the adjusted population by county, including the total change and percent change for each county.
